We loaded up the sprinter and took a journey to Brimfield, Mass. The Grand father of all flea markets. Some say that this was the first flea market in America. People from all over the world travel here to see multiple fields of awesomeness! World class collectors and dealers bring out their finest wares in hopes to service the most elite pickers and designers. The Coach linked up with photographer Louie Kovatch from Urban Renewal, to document the experience.
This season at Freedom Hall Search+Rescue debut a line of modern furniture. Up until this point our contribution to the trade show has been behind the scenes. Offering branding and trade show solutions for Freedom hall and its wonderful cast of creatives.
We brought our squad of hand craftsmen and builders from the mid Atlantic area to demonstrate how our furniture design services the current market. Each brand connected by the principle of Search+Rescue, local production with use of reclaimed source materials. By mixing modern lines and pop color with a hint of rustic character, we displayed versatility speaking to both retail and home dwellings.
Search+Rescue DryGoods has occupied Center Stage ( 2639 Girard ave. Phila. PA) and infused up-cycled vintage and found objects with the boutiques Contemporary Menswear. The Pop Up Searchs launch date, Dec,13 2014 marks one year since the BSRx Squad first changed Center Stages floor plan and redesigned the store front windows. After a number of requests for props and antiques we decided to offer a shop in shop S+R Drygoods experience at the boutique. One of a kind fashion by Custom Lifestyle and The House of Raoof were also debuted at the launch in the spirit of Kings Ruling Together. Everyone being fueled by Kool Beanz Coffee, which was served at our mini Cafe in the back. If you missed the launch no worries, the Squad will be occupying the premise until Feb. 2015. See pics

10/25: The last time D.C’s streetcars were running Schott NYC at 49 was already an iconic American brand that changed the world forever. This time the D.C streetcars, in the H Street corridor, were the backdrop for a glimpse into the future of Schott NYC. From their humble beginnings in a Manhattan basement manufacturing raincoats, to outfitting the military, celebrities, and all Billy Badasses. Schott proved to be leaders in more ways than one. The innovative spirit of Schott NYC led them to be the first manufacturer to invent the leather motorcycle jacket. You can find Schott NYC’s design queues emulated by many manufacturers across the globe. Even if you are unfamiliar with the brand, one thing you can’t deny is their distinct style.
A century has passed, and Schott NYC is still one of the most iconic American brands in history. So to celebrate 100 plus years; Schott NYC teamed up with Search and Rescue Squad, and a handpicked collective of designers to take the nation’s capital by storm. The one-day brand immersion infused motorcycle culture with contemporary art, lifestyle clothing, and accessories.
Schott 100 Plus showcased: an art installation by Search & Rescue (S+R) Dry Goods and curation by S+R and Gentlemen’s Brim. S+R also launched their BSR line of furniture alongside their “selvedge white denim” glove collaboration with Grifter Company USA. Modern50 and Carter Designs sourced thought provocative art and found objects. Custom Lifestyle displayed a unique take on repurposed materials; mixing fabrics, and detailed stitching to make one of a kind overcoats, and totes. While Milk Cult and Kool Beanz coffee provided refreshments and ice cream sandwiches. Another American icon, Bell Helmets raffled off a Custom 500 helmet and gave away t-shirts. The Schott 100 Plus experience proved why Schott NYC can confidently look forward to the next century and beyond.
